AMD's Fastsest Processor For Desktops Benchmarked, Closing In On Race! - Gizmo Watch

AMD's Fastsest Processor For Desktops Benchmarked, Closing In On Race! - Gizmo Watch: "Intel has been leading the processor race ever since the release of their Core2Duo series and since then AMD has been trying to catch up with them, only to fail. Being an AMD fan I’ve been waiting for them to take the lead but I haven’t seen the happy moment yet. Though, today’s benchmarking results for AMD’s fastest desktop processor are something to cheer about. It’s like their best attempt to get closer to Intel. AMD’s new Phenom X4 9850 got tested today and the good news is that it is AMDs fastest processor so far. But, I guess their best is not good enough as Intel still remains in the lead. Anyway, I am still happy to know that AMD has got rid of their TLB (Transaction Lookaside Buffer) bug. Hopefully, with further releases AMD will bridge the gap and take the lead. But I (and other fans) must hope that Intel’s updated line-up won’t pose problems for AMD to become number one again. Now, if you are getting worked up about the stats then head to PC Perspective and Hot Hardware to witness full benchmarking stats.
